The Truffle NPC requires a home in a Surface (above-ground) Glowing Mushroom biome and sells mushroom-themed blocks, pets, weapons, and vanity gadgets. The background of an Underground Glowing Mushroom biome depicts quite a few small mushrooms. There are several unique enemies, some of which can be encountered in Underground Glowing Mushroom biomes. The grasses and plants in a Glowing Mushroom biome emit a vibrant blue glow, together with a lot of its distinctive enemies. Several mushroom-themed versions of regular Cavern enemies spawn here in pre-Hardmode, and some completely unique enemies will spawn in Hardmode. Giant Glowing Mushrooms will develop if there may be sufficient vertical area, (Old-gen console and 3DS versions) though unlike Giant Glowing Mushrooms on the surface, they've smaller caps and lack branches. You may say they've an innate capability to zero in on truffles buried underground.
