World of Warcraft item upgrade Upgrades
The upgrade of an item upgrader can be used to boost the stats of a particular item. Depending on the upgrade type it can raise an item upgrader mod's Mark level or Rarity and boost additional stats.
Each item comes with a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade Items increases the cost of the next item upgrader mod by a specified amount.
Item Level
The value of an item's stats base increase when it is upgraded. This value is the sum of all of the perks that are leveled up (attack magic attack and defense). The cost of upgrading items can be high, depending on the upgrader and what type of upgrade items you choose to do. This is due to the sheer number of perks that must be altered to upgrade an item.
It can also be used as a gating requirement while queueing for raids, dungeons and scenarios. It also serves as a gating requirement when waiting to queue for dungeons and raids and scenarios, and to limit the amount of PvP gear a player can wear (since PvP is limited to an lower level).
