Requirements
Item upgrades allow players to increase the level of their gear that they can equip. They can be purchased by paying the appropriate currency at any item upgrader mod (you can try these out) upgrader NPC. Each item can have a maximum 10 upgrade bars or segments. Each bar or upgrade segment requires an amount of resources, such as Iron Ore Leather and Titanium. They can be found when exploring the surroundings or looting minor loot chests. The amount of resources required increases as the upgrade items level of an item increases.
Certain items, like hats and shoulders require extremely high levels of upgrading to attain their full value.
