Upgrades to items allow players to increase an Item upgrader Kit's gear score up to 700 and also add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory and item level upgrade heading to the kiln.

This bonus may exceed the damage that a weapon upgrade item can do on its own.
