The Importance of Upgrades in World of Warcraft
Upgrades are a new kind of item that gives an increase in your stats. These can be used to upgrade your armor, trinkets and weapons.
Upgrades to items employ a method called "upgrade pity" to determine probabilities. This system is designed to minimize extremes of chance and provide security when you upgrade items.
Armor
The item upgrader allows players to upgrade the equipment level of their armor, trinkets and weapons. The upgrades are applied to the equipment through a visit to an Item upgrading upgrader NPC with the appropriate currency. The upgrade of an item will upgrade the stats on that item upgrades.
This NPC can be found in each major city, and is located in the corner of the square near an telephone port. The NPC can be used to upgrade any type of armor, weapon or trinket, except for items that require a quest to acquire or craft.
Note: The item you use to apply an upgrade will be consumed forever.
