The Apple Vision Pro – when it was first announced, I thought Apple had lost their collective minds. This headset seemed destined to be a massive flop. But then I tried it. As a diehard Android and iphone world PC user, the Vision Pro blew me away. I used it for about two hours, enough to get a sense of its hardware, build quality, and durability.
Straight out of the box, the Vision Pro feels premium. It comes with a protective sock for the supposedly glass lens on the front and a magnetically detachable light shield. The solo-knit headband strap, made from 70% recycled yarn, is surprisingly soft and iphone world comfortable, reminiscent of the craftsmanship of a thousand grandmas knitting in unison. The band is detachable and has a sturdy snowboard binding-style tightener, fitting the snowboarding goggles vibe.
Cameras are positioned all around the device, and large fan vents cool the internal hardware.
