Trying to decide which chocolate truffle flavour to choose is practically inconceivable, as there are so many! Olive oil that is infused with the flavour of truffles gives much in savoryflavoring to many dishes. Traces of truffles in medieval cooking will also be discovered on the court of the Avignon Papacy. Some fossils (Tuber Spinoreticolatum) have been present in Northern America and one very particular has also been found in Italy (Piedmont region): it was dormant since 300 million years!
