It’s occurring: For the first time, California has a truffle season, which goes from December into March, as growers are making severe progress towards creating a viable regionally grown version of the European luxury ingredient. Truffle oil is very flavorful and potent, and a bit of bit goes a good distance. That is a gorgeous idea as there may be so little cash in forestry.
