CORGI Gas Registration - How to Find a CORGI Gas Engineer Near Me
The CORGI Gas Registration Scheme came to an end in 2009, and was replaced by Gas Safe Register. Anyone who is registered with Gas Safe will be carrying an identification card which shows their photo, their registration number and the work categories they are authorised to carry out.
Gas Safe Registration is available only to new gas industry entrants who have completed the Gas Managed Learning Programme of LCL Awards and have documented an amount of practical experience.
Qualifications
To be able to legally work gas engineer certificate engineers must hold a number qualifications. The Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS) qualifications must be renewed every five years, and all engineers must also be gas safe registered engineer Safe Registered. This is a replacement for CORGI and allows the public to verify whether an engineer is qualified gas engineer to work on gas appliances.
