Cyberpunk 2077 Item Upgrading Guide
Item upgrading is a key element to maximize the potential of your gear. It allows you to add bonus stats and bonuses on top of the value of your base item.
Each upgrade item template comes with a set of options which can be changed using the edition GUI. These options include the upgrade reference and the possibility of upgrading.
Upgrade components
The method of upgrading weapons, armor and other gear in Cyberpunk 2077 has been revamped as part of the 2.0 update. Upgrade components can be found throughout Night City, and the item upgrade that you want to upgrade must have an upgrade slot available. When you choose an item to upgrade, the game will show a preview of what the expected statistics will be after upgrading, along with the component or material required. If you do not have the required component or resource to upgrade an item upgrader mod, the button will show "Blocked.
