We continued to the southeast into the Upper Formation Rooms together with helectites growing in all directions. Moreover visited the Red Lilly Pad Hotel room. The room had round formations that gave the impression of Lilly Pads in a swimming pool of water and a number of them had stalagmites during my childhood from the very center.
Returning on the Catch Basin, we often see a high lead about 20 feet up a steep mud slope. Digging footholds for 15 minutes, we found a large oval room overlooking the issue Basin with another large walking lead continuing on the southeast.
Our group consisted of horizontal cavers, only participating in Ledge stone vertical work when had been no other possibility. We made several trips in 1971, 1972 and 1973, at an occasion when the last discoveries were being made and Slate Roof the mapping was completed.
