Diablo 4 item upgrade Upgrades
item upgrade upgrades allow players to increase the level of items that can be equipped, such as weapons or armor, as well as trinkets up to a certain amount. You can upgrade items at any NPC that accepts the appropriate currency.
Upgrade components are slotted into equipment to give attributes bonuses and other effects. They are generally slot-restricted, however, there are some universal upgrades.
Rerolling
A player is able to reroll an upgrade item (reviews over at informatic.wiki) to an item upgrader in Diablo 4. This is done through the Level Up feature, which pauses your game and displays four randomly selected upgrades. The player can select one of the upgrades to continue the battle. Rerolling costs the same as a normal Level Up. Players should be cautious to select the correct upgrade, since they won't be aware of the new stats until the item upgrader has been replaced.
The upgrade level of an item is determined by the item upgrade's tier and rarity.
