Armor
Armor upgrades are a form of upgrade that can be used on weapon and armor items. They increase the effectiveness of the item upgrading upgrade (click through the following article) they are attached to. Upgrades to armor are available in the game's world and can be purchased from Blacksmiths at any bonfire. Additionally, they can be salvaged from items with upgrade components inside them, using a specialist or more powerful salvage kit.
The amount of damage that a piece of armor or weapon will absorb is contingent on the degree of upgrades. The damage absorption of an item level upgrade of armor will increase when it's upgraded to the highest upgrade level.
