The item upgrades Upgrader in World of Warcraft
The War Within introduced Valorstones, and Harbinger Crests as two currencies for upgrading equipment. These can be exchanged at the NPCs who Upgrade Item items, Cuzolth and Vaskarn.
Each item upgrader mod can be upgraded to its maximum level once for one slot. Upgrades to that slot are then less expensive afterward. In addition the pity system introduced with The War Within lowers extreme upgrade items luck variance.
Upgrades
In gaming, upgrades are replacements for components that increase performance or provide new functionality. Upgrades can be earned or purchased through a variety of methods including through in-game events or cash shop items.
Upgrades are only available for specific items. As opposed to enchantments, which can be applied to any item upgrader kit, upgrades can only be applied to the item upgrader mod they are connected to. As such, upgrades cannot be applied to a weapon when it already has the equipment of players.
