Excessive regens - Many of our customers who use their Sweeper Trucks for work complain about very frequent regens that kill their fuel mileage and satisfaction. Many customers who work outdoors during the cold months were would often leaving their old diesels run throughout the working day while these people on the actual site. The DPF equipped sweeper Trucks don't handle this very highly. The cooler idling temperature for this exhaust gas will soot up the DPF on an accelerated activity. It is not uncommon for these customers turn out to be on their second or third filter change on the grounds that truck went into constant limp mode. The usually dealership response is: "You can't let these new trucks idle." Which goes over as good as with guys who are stuck at about a job site five miles back associated with woods all day and the temperature never gets above ten stages.
