Everything within the Truffle Hunters is about sensation - the stuck typewriter key, the thick black stockings, the dog’s velvet nose in your palm, the shaved truffle quivering on an egg yolk. Late in the movie, we see a magnificent specimen displayed on a pink velvet cushion at some type of expo or public sale - the movie by no means actually tells us the place we're - which sells for over €100,000. Dweck and Kershaw (who additionally shot the movie) rig a few of his canines with head cameras and microphones, so that when we’re out with him, it's as though we, too, are racing, snuffling by means of the woods, and scrambling over the leaves.
