Diablo 4 Item Upgrades
Upgrades to items allow players to increase the item upgrader mod level of equippable items such as weapons or armor, as well as trinkets above a certain threshold. You can upgrade items at any NPC that accepts the appropriate currency.
Upgrade components are inserted into equipment to give bonus effects and attribute bonuses. These are usually slot-restricted however, there are some universal upgrades.
Rerolling
A player can roll an upgrade to an item in Diablo 4. This is done through the Level Up mechanic, which stops the game and shows the four randomly selected upgrades. The player can choose one of the upgrades to continue the battle. Rerolling costs the same as the normal Level Up. However players should be cautious when selecting an upgrade as they will not know what the new stats will be until the item has been being rerolled.
The rarity of the Best item upgrader and its the tier of its purchase determine its upgrade item.
