Cyberpunk 2077 Item Upgrading Guide
Item upgrading is a key element to maximize the potential of your gear. It lets you add bonus stats and bonuses over the value of your base item upgrade.
Each upgrade template has several options that can be configured by using the edition GUI. These options include upgrading reference and chances of upgrading.
Upgrade components
The system for upgrading weapons, armor and other equipment in Cyberpunk 2077 has been reworked as part of the 2.0 update. Upgrade components are scattered throughout Night City. The item you'd like to upgrade items should also have an upgrade slot. When you select an item to upgrade, the game will show an image of what the expected statistics will be following upgrading, as well as the necessary component or item upgrade required. If you don't have the required level or resource to upgrade an item upgrader the button will read "Blocked."
Weapons and armor can be upgraded as well as some trinkets and gathering tools.
