When it comes to staying eco-friendly and reducing energy at home, we often look into various options of harnessing natural energy. One of these options is utilizing, harnessing solar power to heat our homes warm water for daily use, also known as solar water heaters, and a common application is rooftop solar water heating systems.
Rooftop solar water heater systems utilize sunlight to water heating energy. These systems are designed with a solar collector, primarily located on a house roof, and a storage container, almost always found near the house. The key collector converts sun's radiation, increasing the water temperature higher. We can identify different types of collector designs, like flat-plate and vacuum chamber collectors.
Heated water is then pumped to the container or reservoir to supply domestic appliance water usage needs including hot showers, and eventually to household sinks, and finally into dishwashers.
