The Biewer Yorkshire Terrier was created by an unusual occurrence of a recessive gene in two Yorkshire Terriers. The parents of the Biewer Yorkshire Terrier produced the pied pup (normally Yorkies have a slate grey and tan color, suzie der yorkie-Welpe or cream and merle).
