World of Warcraft Item Upgrader Upgrades
The upgrade of an item can be used to boost the stats of an item upgrader mod. Depending on the type of upgrade you choose, it may increase an item upgrading's Rarity or Mark Level and boost additional stats.
Upgrading equipment in The War Within requires a specified number of Flightstones and Crests Each item upgrader mod has an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next item by a specified amount.
Item Level
When an item is upgraded, its stats improve in value. This value is the sum of an item level upgrade's upgraded perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrading items can be expensive depending on the upgrader and what type of upgrade you choose to do. This is due to the number of perks that must be altered to upgrade an item upgrader.
It is also used to enforce gating requirements when waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It also serves to limit how much PvP gear players can use as PvP is restricted at a lower level.
