The feature of upgrading items lets players increase their armor, weapon, and trinkets' levels and receive extra bonuses. They also provide cosmetic effects.
The majority of items will appreciate in value when they are upgraded with a few exceptions. A perfectly rolled eth Titan could be worth 20x more than its non-upgraded counterpart.
Rerolling
Rerolling lets players change a weapon upgrade, or armor upgrade with one that has different stats. This is a good method to maximize the value of an item upgrader mod, since the reroll feature does not alter the level of the item or any additional bonuses. Click on the box icon of the item level upgrade and select "Reroll". The new upgrade item will be random, and the original's extra bonuses will not be restored.
Rerolling is popular in a variety of gacha games, including Genshin Impact. It involves registering a new account, and then trying until the player obtains the character or weapon they want.
