Melody Blue Spix Severe Macaw For Sale
After a long time with speculation and worry, Brazilians and macaw pet shop German conservationists were able successfully bring a group of couples back to their natural habitat. Their story is inspiring however, it is also filled with backbiting and jealousies.
The first challenge was to find enough birds for the trade. The macaws were monogamous, therefore it was essential to match pairs well.
Range
A South African couple is working to save the critically endangered Spix's miniature macaw for sale which was declared extinct in 2000 following decades of poaching and loss of habitat. They have a tiny population of the birds kept in captivity and are hoping to release them in the wild near Curaca. They call them their little blue friends and compared their journey to the story of Presley, the last known Spix's macaw representative species in the wild. They describe him as a true survivor who lost his family and was loyal to his home.
