The Importance of Upgrades in World of Warcraft
Upgrades are a brand new type of item upgrades that provides a boost to your stats. You can upgrade item armor, weapons and trinkets with these.
Upgrades to items use a system called "upgrade pity" to calculate probabilities. This system is meant to reduce extremes of luck and provide an adequate safety net when upgrading.
Armor
The item upgrader allows players with the possibility to upgrade the level of equipment of their armor, weapons and trinkets. The upgrade item is applied to the equipment when you visit an upgrader NPC using the appropriate currency. When you upgrade an item, it will upgrade the stats on that item.
This NPC can be found in all major cities and is located in the corner of the city square, near a teleport point. The NPC can upgrade any armor, weapon or trinket, with the exception of those which require a quest or crafting.
Note: The item you use to apply an upgrade is a consumable item upgrading forever.
