Components
Upgrade components can make your armour and weapons stronger. You can acquire them by the destruction of enemies, finding them in spheres of items or buying them from karma dealers. They can also be salvaged from equipment that contains them, or by utilizing a high-tier salvage kit such as the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Unlike most other items, upgrade components are not destroyed when they are removed from an item upgrader kit.
Upgrade components are mostly used to upgrade an item upgrader kit but they can also be used for other reasons.
