Kayvan Novak does it all on "Fonejacker." He plays the part of an eccentric, prankster, comic, and salesman, all at the same time, in one hilarious comedy. Kayvan Novak plays the role of a jaded, broken down British comic actor called Kayvan Novak. After a recent divorce from the wife of his, Kayvan must make the decision whether or not he will get another chance at love. With his voice taking over the role of caller, Kayvan's impersonation of a man suffering from a broken heart is actually memorable and hilarious.Kayvan is a masterful actor, able to create characters that seem believable because of his ability to play multiple roles at once. His voice also adds an element of mystery to the character, as he uses weird words and phrases. Kayvan's character, John Figgis, a deadbeat salesman, has the skill to use many different accents and guises to get unsuspecting customers on the line. With the wide range of his of impressions, Kayvan creates hilarious scenarios that are actually both surreal and real. Other recurring characters include car salesmen, Mr. Agdgdgo, who deal in dubious deals, and Terry Tibbs, a con artist who takes advantage of other people. Kayvan's ability to play these characters while maintaining a straight face and a British twang makes Fonejacker one of probably the funniest movies I have seen in years. While this's not your typical comedy, Fonejacker manages to combine humor with its darker side, creating an intriguing mixture. It might not interest everyone, but I can guarantee that you will enjoy the laughs, even if they're a little more off the wall than what most comedies provide. The film was directed by Joe Wright, and co-written by Martin Freeman and Simon Pegg. While this is one of probably the funniest comedies I've seen in years, there are also some dark undertones that keep you guessing, which makes it something of a unique experience. Overall, Fonejacker is actually a blast, filled with a good deal of humor and hilarious moments. If you like watching a British actor do a role as odd as Fonejacker, then you will enjoy this film.
