WoW Item Upgrades
Item upgrades, also referred to as "upping" are enchantments or items that improve the performance of weapons and armor. These upgrade items increase the gauge of an Best item upgrade by a certain amount of points. Their costs scale according to their rarity.
A perfectly formed version of this armor is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community for its ability to limit weapon damage.
Type-restricted upgrades
Upgrades are a crucial part of the equipment crafting process. They can boost an item's stats, make it stronger or weaker, and even provide an additional benefit. They also affect the item's appearance. While certain upgrades are universal, other have specific rules for applying to armor or weapons. A bad upgrade can destroy an item upgrade that is otherwise excellent, and could even render it useless.
As a general rule you can only upgrade the equipment you have to the level of its most advanced counterpart.
