World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item upgrade Upgrading
Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.
If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will be able to gain an additional 3% of the previous damage for every time it's upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item level upgrade is determined by the item upgrade's level. The cost increases with item upgrader's level.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons and trinkets to give an additional stat boost or impact while they're being used. These can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.
upgrade item components can be inserted into any equipment with a slot for them; the item upgrading must have been at a minimum upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be applied.
