Cyberpunk 2077 Item Upgrading Guide
Item upgrading is a key factor in maximizing the power of your gear. It lets you add bonus stats onto the base value of your item upgrader mod.
Each upgrade item template comes with a set of options which can be changed through the edition GUI. These options include upgrading reference and chances of upgrading.
Upgrade components
As part of the 2.0 update, the method of upgrading weapons and armor in Cyberpunk has been improved. Upgrade components are scattered throughout Night City. The item upgrade you want to upgrade must also include an upgrade slot. If you select an item upgrader mod to upgrade it will show an overview of what the expected stats will be after upgrading, along with the component or material needed. If you don't have the necessary level of material or component needed to upgrade the item, then the button will read "Blocked."
Weapons and armor can be upgraded, along with some trinkets as well as gathering tools.
